Early in 2007 he finished working on a film with
Johnny Depp and directed by Tim Burton. Look out for
Sweeney Todd in theatres worldwide early 2008. Also
completed by Spring was a new medical series for
Maverick TV to be broadcast on Channel 4. Look out
for what some have said is Nicks better side!!!!!!
During the Summer Nick spent a 13 week period on Big
Brothers Big Mouth for Endemol which was followed by
the role of Lord Justice Wignall in Nick Morans film
"Telstar". A further episode of Midsomer Murders
together with 2 commercials ended the Autumn period.
The winter period started with him being asked to be
a Judge in the South Western Heats of UK Unsigned -
a showcase for up and coming new talent. Applicants
came from as far away as Cardiff and Liverpool. The
semi finals are held in London during February 2008
with the ultimate winner joining the ranks of
previous winners Leona Lewis and Katie Melua.
Rounding off 2007 was a role in "The Quarry" to be
shot on Portland Isle, South of Weymouth involving a
folklore tale of Creatures and Wilfred's (Rabbits to
the rest of us) and a role playing a well known
Christmas Character for Debenhams plc from November
17th !!!!
Very busy so far into 2008. January saw the premiere
of Sweeney Todd - The Demon barber of Fleet Street,
worldwide. It opened to rave reviews with award
nominations galore.
Celebrity Big Brother Hijack saw Nick on your
screens for 3 weeks. Sadly for some Big Brother 9
starts in May so get ready to welcome Nick back into
your lounges.
Filmwise so far has been hectic. Nick took the lead
role in Dr. Smith, directed by Chris Tavernier in a
horror scenario. It was challenging but the co star
(or should it be real star?) was 11 year old Elise H
from Weymouth. Then on to Good Morning Ground
Control directed by David Simpson in which Nick
plays the Telemetary Controller during the loss of a
British Satellite close to Mars. (Any reference to
the Beagle is of course purely coincidental!!!). It
was then on to Dogs Desire as a very ill patient,
dressed mainly in Green and feeling very Green!
Directed by Laura Hunter and assisted by (Nicks long
suffering Director Jonathan Hardy - either a saint
or a glutton for punishment!). Nick is due to start
a laid back role in Infamy, directed by Garrett
Millerick. A quick trip to Europe follows and then
who knows? Nick wishes you all a very happy easter.
